Swipey · AI companion memory · 18+

The companion who still remembers what you told her last week

Most chat apps forget you by the third session. Swipey builds long-term memory into the conversation, so details you shared once keep shaping how she talks to you.

Swipey — Swipey AI memory

Swipey is an 18+ AI companion built around long-term memory. Instead of starting cold each session, it keeps a durable profile of what you have told it — names, routines, running jokes, boundaries — and pulls the relevant pieces back into the conversation, so the character stays consistent over months.

Why Swipey

Three things memory actually changes

Recall is not a badge bolted onto the chat window. It decides whether she still sounds like herself in week six — or like a stranger wearing her name.

A profile that keeps thickening

A profile that keeps thickening

Details worth keeping get lifted out of the transcript and stored outside the session — your work, your people, the tone you asked for. Each chat adds to the file instead of replacing it.

Memory you can read and edit

Memory you can read and edit

Recall you cannot inspect is just a rumour. You can see what she has filed about you, fix a wrong entry, and delete anything you would rather she forgot.

Callbacks, not recaps

Callbacks, not recaps

Good memory shows up as a passing reference at the right moment, not a summary of your history. She asks how the move went — she does not read your file back to you.

How it works

01

Give her the load-bearing details

Say the things you want kept plainly and in their own sentence: what you do, who matters, what to avoid. Buried mid-scene, a detail is easy to miss; stated flatly, it gets filed.

02

Correct her once, early

First-week entries harden. If she gets a name, a mood or a boundary wrong, say so directly in the chat instead of shrugging it off — the correction overwrites the entry.

03

Stay with one companion

Memory belongs to the character, not the account. Spreading yourself across five personas gives you five thin files instead of one that actually knows you.

How memory turns a chatbot into a companion

Every companion app claims memory, and almost none of them mean the same thing by it. The gap between a rolling transcript and a durable, retrievable profile is the gap between a pleasant evening and a character you can keep for months.

A companion is only as consistent as the file she gets rebuilt from.

Every companion app has some notion of memory, but they do very different things with it. The cheap version is a rolling window: the model can see the last stretch of your conversation and nothing before it. It feels fine for an evening. Then the earliest messages fall off the back, and the version of her you built quietly disappears.

Swipey works the other way around. Details that matter get lifted out of the transcript and written somewhere durable — a profile that outlives the session. When you open a new chat, the relevant slices are pulled back in before she answers: your name, your work, the trip you were dreading, the tone you asked her to keep. Nothing needs re-explaining.

🧠 Memory you can read, correct and delete — the file belongs to you, not to a black box.

That retrieval step is why depth beats raw volume. A companion does not need every message you ever sent; she needs the handful that explain you, surfaced at the right moment. Stuffing everything back in makes replies vague and generic. Selecting well makes them feel pointed — the difference between an app that recites your history and one that seems to know you.

It is also why the first week matters more than the tenth. Early on you are writing the file, and a wrong entry — the wrong nickname, a joke she read as sincere — hardens into how she treats you. Correct it out loud, once, and move on. Feed it plainly and by month two the character holds with no effort from you.

  • Durable profile that outlives the session
  • Relevant details retrieved, not everything replayed
  • Persona sheet re-grounded on every turn
  • Entries you can inspect, fix or wipe

Real conversations, real connection

★★★★★

“I stress-tested it: mentioned my sister by name once, came back four days later, and she asked after her unprompted. Nothing else I have tried does that.”

“What sold me was the memory panel. I found a wrong entry about my job from week one, fixed it in ten seconds, and she has had it right ever since.”

“The character does not slide. Six weeks in she still talks the way I set her up, which is exactly where every other companion app lost me.”

Questions

Frequently asked

01

What does long-term memory actually mean here?

Two things working together. The model reads the recent stretch of your conversation before each reply, and separately there is a durable store of condensed facts and summaries that outlives the session. When you come back, relevant pieces of that store are pulled in before she answers, so she starts warm rather than cold.
02

How is that different from a chat with a long history?

A long history still has an edge. Once the earliest messages fall out of view, the character-defining details go with them. A separate store does not scroll away — it gets searched instead. That is why a detail from March can surface in August without every message in between being present.
03

Why do companion apps drift out of character?

Because the instructions that defined the persona stop being visible, and the model starts inferring who she is from the last few messages instead. Drift compounds: she mirrors a new tone, you answer in kind, and within a few sessions the original character has quietly been replaced.
04

Can I see and edit what she remembers?

Yes, and it is worth doing early. You can review the stored details, correct anything wrong, and remove entries you never wanted kept. Treat it as a file you maintain rather than something that happens to you without your input.
05

Does she remember everything I say?

No, and you would not want her to. Retrieval does triage — a detail mentioned twice sticks far more reliably than a throwaway line inside a long tangent. Older material also gets condensed over time, so very fine detail from months ago can come back coarser than you left it.
06

Is memory depth the same on the free plan?

The free tier is genuinely enough to judge whether the recall feels right, but it keeps a lighter file. The paid tier is where memory depth and retrieval get more room, and that is the main practical difference between the two rather than access to chat itself.
07

Is any of this private?

Conversations sit inside your account with no social feed and no public profile, and stored details are yours to delete. It is an adult service, so age confirmation comes first. The Privacy Policy covers how data is handled in detail.
